Wakes

The end of life is a poignant time when we say goodbye to someone we love. A wake can be an opportunity to remember your loved one in a less formal way than during the funeral service, in the presence of family and friends. A memorial reception after a funeral can also be a chance for people who were unable to attend a more private funeral to pay their respects. Some people prefer to call these a Celebration of Life, and choose to create an uplifting atmosphere with lots of people, whilst others may choose to have a small, intimate gathering.

Our staff work hard to make you feel comfortable however you decide to remember and reminisce. We offer a wide range of menus for any size of celebration; from Afternoon Tea, to hot and cold buffets with a champagne reception – any palate can be accommodated.

At Pebble Beach we want to help you remember your loved one and what they enjoyed. If there is a certain kind of food that they liked, then we are happy to make it. If you would like to decorate the restaurant or bring photos and momentos of your loved one, then this is welcomed. And if your loved one enjoyed a trip to the seaside or an ocean view, then our restaurant is a special place to celebrate their life.
