The Pebble Beach Charitable Trust also supports many charities, organisitions and initiatives in Brazil, aimed at improving the lives of the very poorest children in the country. Many of these children are born into such poverty that their prospects are very bleak, many ending up dependant on drugs with no way out. We believe it is very important to offer these children an alternative through education and support so that these children are given hope and the opportunity to better their situation.
Through the Trust and in particular your very generous donations, we are giving these children a fighting chance. By funding educational facilities, much needed computer equipment, after school clubs and orgnaisations and many other worthy causes these children have the opportunity that we in England take for granted.
Half of the overall funds raised by The Pebble Beach Charitable Trust are given to local charities and organisations while the other half provides computers and educational equipment for schools and youth projects in Brazil. Nearly £6,000 was raised and went towards 52 computers, purchased from Computer Aid International, and have been shipped to Brazil to benefit a school in Salvador in association with The Rotary Club of Salvador. Pb is now looking for other schools in Brazil that can benefit from the monies raised.
100 computers purchased from Computer Aid International have been shipped to Brazil to benefit a school in Salvador in association with The Rotary Club of Salvador.
